As much as I love talking about traveling, I think the current situation calls for a little bit of change. Besides, the endless scrolling through travel photos was giving me major travel blues, which is exactly what I don't want right now. So, instead of subjecting you to a sad post detailing how absolutely devestated I am about not being able to go abroad, I thought I'd do a bit of an oldie but goldie. As much as I moan about not being able to see my friends, or go out without wearing a mask (which I think everyone should be doing because It's so important!), I have to admit that there have been certain aspects of lockdown life that I've been loving. One of which includes the gift of time. While I used to constantly be rushing around, always worrying about everything that I had to get done, I now find that my schedule is much more open. I don't have to waste time driving places or waiting for people, I can do everything that I need to from the comfort of my own home. This has not only taught me just how much time I waste in normal day to day life, but also just how valuable my time is. At the end of the day, it's taught me that I should be splitting my work time and 'me' time more evenly. Additionally, I don't need to constantly be around people to truly enjoy what I'm doing! I genuinely believe that to truly be happy, you have to be comfortable being alone with yourself first.
Anyway, enough with the cheesy. Long story short, because of lockdown I've found I have a lot more time to do the things I love, including getting back into designing and sewing. So I thought today I'd share one of my most recent creations, the Little Blue Dress. Well, actually it's more of a co-ord as it's made up of a top and skirt but, not going to lie, Little Blue Co-ord just doesn't have quite the same ring to it... This set consists on a skater style skirt (with a zip) and a plunge style bralette with a lace up back and crossover strap detailing. Originally this was supposed to have buttons on the back but at the last minute I decided the lace up design added a more unique quality to the overall set.
Because I love this Co-ord so much, and have had a few requests from friends I've decided to sell it on my depop! I make all skirts according to exact size and length preferences, and can offer a number of different material patterns to choose from. If you're interested and don't have depop, you can also leave a comment below or DM me on twitter. I'm currently selling the skirts for 15£ including UK shipping.

ReplyDeleteWow that’s a gorgeous outfit! So impressive that you made that yourself! You’ve made such a good point as well, lockdown has been terrible but finding the silver linings such as more time, or for me spending more quality time with my 2 small children, means that we don’t need to see these months as time lost. But actually time to slow down and appreciate what we do have.
